An equipment operator must drive or control Farm equipment pertaining to Farm maintenance, inventory acceptance, and loading products for delivery. This includes; bulldozers, forklifts, backhoes, dump trucks, excavators, and skidsteers. Must operate this equipment to assist in constructing structures, including bridges, roads, and property maintenance. This candidate is responsible for the safe operation of heavy equipment, such as farm tractors, loaders, graders, and snow moving equipment. Be prepared to welcome new products from deliveries, and efficiently unload and organize in the proper location on the farm. Assist in training of new machine operators that have experience.

Tasks:

  • Must be able to run equipment safely
  • Operate and maintain equipment for potting, winterizing and de-winterizing
  • Must know basic engine knowledge in order to assess any machine issues
  • Accept and organize plant and product delivery
  • Monitor water tank levels during the planting season

Technology Skills:

  • Willing to train in order to use POS systems or plant selection software for labeling and organizing

Work Conditions:

  • Must be able to work in extreme and inclement weather conditions
  • Inside or outside of greenhouses

Experience:

  • Experience in running equipment and heavy machinery

Pay:

  • Hourly wages will be further discussed based on experience

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift
  • Weekend availability

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
